About Me

Tabithedirector is a personal brand that I launched in late 2021. TTD offers resources, advice, videos and blog posts on theatre, film, novel writing and the creative industries. You can find TTD content both on this website and social media.

I've always had a passion for storytelling ever since I was a child. As a teenager I started writing stories that I published online (which are now nowhere to be found, thank God!) whilst honing my skills as a younger writer. At University I branched out into writing poetry and plays, as well as exploring storytelling through the medium of directing. I went on to work with a London-based theatre/film company for two years where I learned the ropes of directing, writing and production. I also attended several workshops as part of the Young Vic Director's Programme.

In 2021 I launched the project 'The Small Gods' a dystopian NA five-book series/TV show. What initially began as a simple table read of a pilot script turned into something bigger than I could ever imagine! Now I have a 700 page NA book waiting to be seen by literary agents, a YA prequel series in the works and new opportunities coming up!

I'm very grateful that I get to share my writing online, and I have had the privilege of working with some truly talented creatives. In 2022, I am looking to continue teaching directing workshops to schools, develop 'The Small Gods' and leave behind the 9-5 for a full-time creative career.
